
Aberdeen, NC – A Fayetteville woman has been arrested in connection with an embezzlement investigation at Reservoir International, a business based in Aberdeen, North Carolina.
According to the Aberdeen Police Department, Heather Berube, 38, was charged following allegations that she illegally obtained more than $41,000 from the company over a period spanning December 2023 to August 2024. Investigators say the funds were misappropriated through unauthorized bonuses, pay increases, and the use of a company credit card for personal expenses.
A felony warrant for embezzlement was issued on March 17, and Berube was taken into custody by Fayetteville Police on March 31 in Cumberland County.
Following her arrest, Berube appeared before a magistrate and was issued a $10,000 secured bond.
The case remains under investigation by Aberdeen authorities in coordination with local law enforcement.
