Truck Catches Fire This Morning in Grays Creek

Grays Creek, NC — A vehicle fire near Highway 87 and Tom Starling Road brought early morning disruption to the Grays Creek and Hope Mills area as a truck caught fire shortly after sunrise on Thursday.

Thick smoke was visible from the highway as fire crews quickly responded to the scene. Firefighters and emergency personnel worked efficiently to extinguish the flames and secure the area, preventing the fire from spreading further.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Emergency responders also assisted with traffic control, temporarily diverting vehicles and ensuring the safety of passing motorists.

While the fire caused short-term delays for morning commuters, traffic conditions have since returned to normal.
