Updated shelter access and eligibility information has been confirmed directly with Cumberland County Government, the City of Fayetteville Police Department, and leadership with the Salvation Army of the Sandhills.

Opened Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
No identification required
Pet friendly; owners must provide supplies, and pets are housed separately
Accepting unhoused individuals during the State of Emergency

Salvation Army of the Sandhills

245 Alexander Street, Fayetteville
Entry requires verification using an ID or Social Security number and name
Background checks conducted
Not accepting registered sex offenders, individuals who are severely intoxicated, or those with certain unmanaged mental health conditions
Meals are provided

Shelter Transportation Assistance

Transportation available while conditions allow
