FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — February 25, 2026 — Fort Bragg officials announced that the 20th Engineer Brigade will conduct demolition testing and training on the installation from March 2 through March 6.

Demolition charges are scheduled to take place multiple times each day during daylight hours. The activity will occur within designated training ranges located in the central portion of the installation.

Although the explosions will remain inside range areas, residents in Fayetteville and surrounding communities may hear loud booms or feel minor ground vibrations during the training period.

Fort Bragg trains Airborne and Special Operations soldiers who must be prepared to deploy worldwide on short notice. Officials said demolition training is part of maintaining operational readiness.

Installation leaders stated they strive to balance mission requirements with being responsible neighbors to Fayetteville and nearby communities.

Residents who have concerns during the training period are encouraged to monitor official Fort Bragg communication channels for updates.
