Fayetteville, NC — A community-driven campaign inspired by Chris P Bacon has raised $625 to support animals at Cumberland County Animal Services, highlighting continued local engagement in animal welfare efforts.

The 45-day campaign, launched through WatchOut Cumberland County NC, directed proceeds toward the shelter’s injury fund, which helps provide care for animals entering the facility with medical needs. The shelter, located on Corporation Drive, regularly operates near capacity as staff work to care for animals and place them into permanent homes.
During a recent visit, the environment reflected ongoing efforts by staff and volunteers to support each animal while encouraging adoptions. One dog present during the visit was described as calm, friendly, and well-suited for a family environment, representative of many animals currently awaiting adoption.

Shelter officials continue to emphasize the importance of community involvement, including adopting, volunteering, and sharing information about available animals. Contributions such as those generated through the Chris P Bacon campaign provide direct support for treatment and care as animals arrive.
In addition to dogs and cats, the shelter also houses other animals, including pigs, further reflecting the range of care provided at the facility.
Cumberland County Animal Services is located at 4704 Corporation Drive in Fayetteville.
