FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County Schools announced a full closure for students and employees due to severe weather expected across the region.

Forecasts indicate the potential for strong wind gusts and possible tornado activity, prompting district officials to take precautionary measures.

School Status
All Cumberland County Schools were closed for the day for both students and staff.

After-School Activities
All athletic practices, games, and school-related activities scheduled for the day were canceled.

Prime Time Programs
Prime Time after-school programs did not operate.

College Courses
Students enrolled in classes through Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College, or College Connections were advised to follow guidance provided by their school principal.

Employee Information
Employees were directed to check with their supervisors and review official district email communications for further instructions.

District Updates
Additional updates were made available through the ParentLink notification system, as well as the Cumberland County Schools website and official social media platforms.
