Fire Response Draws Crews to Lillington Highway Area in Spring Lake
Spring Lake, NC — A house fire prompted a large emergency response in the area of Lillington Highway near Pinetree Lane, behind Walmart and close to the Cedarwood Shopping Center.
Fire activity was also reported in a nearby wooded area, raising concern as crews worked to contain the flames and prevent further spread. Units from Westarea Fire Department responded with multiple trucks positioned along the roadway, extending hoses into the property as suppression efforts continued.
The Spring Lake Police Department assisted on scene with traffic control and securing the area while emergency crews remained engaged in operations.
Officials indicated that a home sustained significant fire damage, with visible charring and structural impact. Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the fire.
