Fire Destroys Portions of Yadkin Road Plaza in Fayetteville, NC

Fayetteville, NC — A major fire tore through a shopping plaza on Yadkin Road in Fayetteville on Friday evening, causing extensive damage to several businesses and prompting a large emergency response. The blaze originated in a vape shop within the plaza, which suffered the most severe damage before flames spread to adjacent units.

Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames engulfing the structure. Multiple ladder trucks and engines were deployed, and portions of Yadkin Road were closed while crews worked to contain the fire and prevent further spread. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Fayetteville Fire Department officials. Building assessments are ongoing to determine the full extent of the damage and when the plaza might safely reopen.
