Fayetteville, NC — Cumberland County Fire Investigators have made an arrest in connection with the fire that occurred at God’s Little Blessings Daycare, located at 4474 Cumberland Road.

Arrest Details
On Saturday, December 28, 2024, investigators arrested Rico Antonio Johnson, 40, of Fayetteville. Johnson has been charged with burning an unoccupied commercial structure. The fire took place on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at approximately 5:24 p.m. Thankfully, the daycare was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
Legal Proceedings
Johnson was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center and is currently being held without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, December 30, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
