FAYETTEVILLE, NC — A vehicle fire damaged two cars Monday afternoon in a shopping center parking lot along Raeford Road in Fayetteville, according to emergency officials.
The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the parking area near MCNails nail salon and Food Lion, near the intersection of Raeford Road and Rayconda Place. Fire crews responded and extinguished a fire involving a sedan that was heavily damaged.
Officials confirmed that the fire also burned the rear portion of a nearby SUV that was parked in the lot at the time of the incident.
Fayetteville police were on scene assisting fire crews and securing the area while the fire was brought under control.
Authorities have not released information regarding injuries, and no cause has been announced. The incident remains under investigation, and officials have not provided a timeline for additional details.
