Fayetteville, NC — A community member has submitted photos and information raising concerns about a potential product labeling issue at the Food Lion located near Legion Road and Black & Decker Road in Fayetteville.
According to the report, a gallon of whole milk that appeared to originate from a different brand was allegedly covered with a Food Lion brand label and offered for sale at a higher price. The submitted images show differences in label style and pricing, prompting questions about whether the product was accurately identified and priced.

The individual reporting the issue stated that the item displayed in-store appeared inconsistent with Food Lion’s typical pricing structure, noting that a generic brand is usually priced lower, while the Food Lion store-brand milk is listed at a higher price point. In this instance, the milk with the overlaid label appeared to be priced higher than expected for the brand believed to be underneath the sticker.
Photos were provided to Watch Out Cumberland County NC for transparency and public awareness. No conclusions are being drawn at this time. The information shared reflects a consumer concern and is being posted to encourage clarity, accountability, and further verification by the retailer if needed.
Customers with similar concerns are encouraged to speak directly with store management or contact the company’s customer service department for clarification.
