FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday evening along the 1900 block of Daphne Circle, off Bingham Drive.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 7:09 p.m. on February 10, 2026, following reports of an assault. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released and is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Police confirmed that an individual was located at the scene and taken into custody by responding officers. Investigators have not announced any charges at this time, and authorities say the investigation remains active.
Officials stated there is no ongoing threat to the public and that the incident does not appear to be random.
