Cumberland County, NC — As of today, icy and hazardous driving conditions remain widespread across the county. Multiple roadways are reporting ice, slush, and limited visibility, especially on bridges, shaded areas, and lesser-traveled streets. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution.
Reported Road Conditions
Skibo Road has icy spots throughout.
Bragg Boulevard is largely ice-covered.
Highway 87 and the MLK Freeway are icy.
Raeford Road through the Strickland Bridge area is icy.
Philippi Church Road toward Raeford is ice-covered.
Post Road has lane markings that are difficult to see.
Freedom Parkway is coated with ice.
North Fayetteville neighborhoods are reporting icy roads.
I-295 is icy in spots, particularly on bridges; right lanes are slightly less slick, but exit ramps are hazardous.
Highway 24 has slushy ice conditions.
I-95 is slushy in several areas.
McArthur Road is ice-coated.
All American Freeway remains icy.
Cliffdale Road has patchy ice.
Ramsey Street is very slick north of Ramsey, while downtown areas are less slick and somewhat clearer.
Honeycutt Road is icy.
Owen Drive from All American is wet with icy patches.
Morganton Road has patchy ice.
Green Street is icy.
Hay Street is icy.
Old Street is covered in solid ice.
The McArthur Road and Honeycutt Road intersection has solid ice and is especially dangerous.
Dunn Road remains icy.






























Safety Advisory
Roads across the county remain slick with ice and possible black ice, especially on bridges and shaded areas. If travel is not absolutely necessary, residents are strongly encouraged to stay off the roads. Those who must travel should reduce speed, increase following distance, and remain alert for sudden changes in road conditions.
