FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — February 22, 2026 — A man was hospitalized Sunday night following a shooting at an apartment complex off Old Wilmington Road, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 9:13 p.m. to the 500 block of Bravery Lane after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers and Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said he is currently listed in stable condition.
The incident occurred at Sycamore Park Apartments. Crime scene tape was placed around the 532 building as officers secured and processed the area for evidence.
Investigators have not released details about a suspect or the events leading up to the shooting. Police stated the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
