Fayetteville, NC — The Fayetteville Police Department has identified the victim of a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, January 4, 2025, around 8:00 p.m. on Morganton Road between Westlake Road and Ruritan Drive.

Victim Identified

The driver has been identified as 37-year-old Louis Alfredo Guadron of Fayetteville. The crash occurred less than a mile from his home, deepening the community’s sense of loss.

Accident Details

According to reports, Guadron was driving a 2017 silver Mercedes-Benz when the vehicle ran off the side of the road near the bridge on Morganton Road. The car struck a utility pole before plunging into Beaver Creek, a waterway extending north of McFayden Lake, where it became fully submerged.

Emergency Response

Emergency responders worked through the night to recover the vehicle and manage the scene. The road was closed for an extended period as crews navigated the challenging recovery process. Upon extracting the vehicle, Guadron was found inside and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
