Fayetteville, NC — A heavy police presence was reported near 11:30 a.m. at the McDonald’s located on Skibo Road at Morganton Road. Multiple police units were observed positioned around the restaurant, with patrol vehicles surrounding several sides of the building and near the drive-through area. Crime scene tape was visible across portions of the parking lot.

Update: Shots Fired Reported
Witnesses report that shots were fired near the McDonald’s following an altercation in the area. Multiple rounds were reportedly discharged, and one individual was seen running toward the Marketfair area. A red vehicle was also reported to have been struck multiple times during the incident. These details are based on witness accounts and have not yet been officially confirmed by law enforcement.

Roadway and Emergency Activity
At the same time, active roadwork was underway at the Skibo Road and Morganton Road intersection, with bucket trucks, cones, and utility crews present. At this point, it remains unclear whether the cones placed in front of the McDonald’s were related to the police activity or part of the ongoing construction nearby.

An ambulance was also observed at the Arby’s located across Morganton Road. The connection between that medical response and the police activity has not been confirmed.

Ongoing Investigation
This is an active and developing situation. No official statement has been released regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident, possible injuries, or suspects involved. Information currently available is based on observations from the scene.

Updates will be shared as soon as verified information is released by authorities.
