Fayetteville, NC – A Fayetteville man has been arrested in connection with multiple disturbing acts of indecent exposure targeting women at retail stores across Cumberland, Robeson, and Bladen counties.

Josiah Clarence Covington, 20, is facing several charges following a series of incidents that occurred at various Dollar General locations. Authorities allege that Covington not only exposed himself to unsuspecting victims but, in at least one case, made unwanted physical contact.
Timeline of Incidents:
February 19 – Hope Mills (Cumberland County):
Covington allegedly exposed himself to a female shopper at the Dollar General on Chicken Foot Road. He was arrested on April 1 and charged with indecent exposure and sexual battery. His bond was set at $5,000 secured.
February 21 – Lumberton (Robeson County):
At the Dollar General on Old Allenton Road, Covington is accused of exposing himself and wiping bodily fluids on a woman. He was arrested on April 2 and charged with both indecent exposure and sexual battery. Covington is currently held without bond at the Robeson County Detention Center.
March 30 – Bladen County:
Covington was served with a criminal summons for indecent exposure related to an incident at a Dollar General location. Details of this case remain under investigation.
