Cumberland County Deputies Search for Suspect in Gas Station Incident

Wade, NC — Authorities in Cumberland County are actively investigating a reported robbery that took place at the Lucky 7 Gas Station on Goldsboro Road, located northeast of Fayetteville. The incident occurred just before 8:35 p.m. on Sunday evening.

Incident Details

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect arrived at the store driving a black Toyota Camry with visible damage to the front driver’s side near the tire. The individual, wearing a black face covering, entered the store and displayed an object resembling a firearm before demanding cash from the clerk.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in the same vehicle. A photo released by the Sheriff’s Office shows the suspect pointing the object across the counter during the encounter.
